Even the most together person who seems pretty composed on the outside still experiences those annoying moments that make you go “uuuurgh” internally.
But it’s okay, you’re not the only one . . . Here are the 10 annoying moments many of us experience every day
Accidentally liking or favourite-ing something on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. One word: awkward.Saying goodbye to someone, then walking in the same direction. All you can say is, “Well, hello again . . .”Waving back to someone who isn’t waving at you. Super embarrassing!Hugging someone and not knowing what direction to go. Your mind is spinning with questions. Am I going under your arms? Are we doing one arm up, one arm down? Side hug? Eish, hugging can be difficult sometimes.Getting a compliment and not accepting it, because we just can’t seem to say “Thank you” and move along.Being the only one to laugh at your own joke. And trust us, it isn’t going to make it any less awkward if you tell them what the joke is about. Just leave it there.Someone talking to you while you’re chewing. They ask you a question just as you put the piece of food in your mouth, then just sit there staring at you, waiting for you to explain your silence.Being in a lift that’s overcrowded and having strangers in your comfort zone. Always lovely.Holding the door open when someone is out of range to catch it. A good deed that can go horribly wrong. If you hold it, you feel awkward. If you don’t, you look like a jerk. Hard life choices to make.Seeing a friend in the bathroom and having an awkward conversation while on the toilet. Then it’s just like, “So . . . come here often?”Good luck with all those awkward and annoying moments still to come!
