Short hair – is it for you?

Women24’s favourite stylist to the stars,  recently shared his thoughts on the latest craze to hit Hollywood hair – short short short

W24: So David, everyone in Hollywood, and even supermodels are all chopping off their gorgeous long locks!

DG: Not since Linda Evangelista cut her hair short in the very early nineties has short hair been such a huge trend. Obviously as a hairdresser I'm delighted because it's a refreshing change and always more exciting to cut hair short.

W24: Is this something that normal women can do and maintain?

DG: Sure, but it’s best to go slowly when approaching the whole short hair trend. A good cut is really important and using the right styling aid like a Davines Pomade or Wax really makes the look modern.

So, here are David’s top tips to getting the trend right for you:

1. For the not so brave the whole mid-length madness look is cool -  think Alexa Chung’s  just blow the shoulder style

2. For the even braver the cool choppy bob of Model Karlie Kloss  is the hottest look right now - fresh and feminine it is really flattering and easy to wear.

3. And for the very brave the boyish crop and undercut like model Coco Rocha's new look really makes a strong statement.
