3 Ways to Conquer Jealousy in Relationships

accreditation
Banish insecurities
Do you compare yourself to other females and assume that because you do not possess some of their ‘qualities’– aesthetically or materially – that you are less attractive or unworthy of your partner’s love? To overcome this blatant lack of self-belief, you need to build on your esteem.

Read this article, Confidence Booster Guide, for tips and tricks to help you along the way.

Identify underlying causes
Ask yourself what exactly fuels your jealousy on (for example, it could be your man’s overly flirtatious work colleague). Why does it upset you? Do you feel that he is entertaining her? Does he have a history of cheating, which makes it hard for you to trust him? Are you projecting your own insecurities on him?

After you’ve  reflected on that, discuss it with him and find ways of resolving the issue together.

Open up
Remember that occasional pangs of jealousy are normal and even healthy in relationships. If you find yourself jostled by, say, an overt waitress, rather address it immediately (leave the poor girl out of it!). Say something like: “You notice how she flutters her lashes at you? It’s because you’re so damn handsome!” Talking about your feelings nullifies their negative influence on your psyche, so make it a habit.
