Viewers of the show, and even radio DJs, used socials networking sites to criticise Mara Louw's on-air behaviour on "Idols" this weekend – after all, who uses the f-word on a family show, Mara… In fact, the judge refused to comment on one of the contestant’s performance. But M-Net spokesperson had earlier come to Mara's defence saying: "She took a strong painkiller which affected her more than usual because she was exhausted."In the meanwhile Mara admits to having an energy drink with vodka before the show as she was exhausted from her busy schedule and she has further apologied about her behaviour on the show.
M-Net has stressed that they do not allow presenters or any crew member to consume alchohol before coming on set.
