This has been a great month for body positivity. Budget South African fashion retailer, Jet, has just launched their Valentine's Day lingerie campaign featuring women of all sizes.  Axe deodorant permanently changed their longstanding douchbag status by creating an ad that is inclusive of all types of men. And, in general, fashion and beauty campaigns have become more and more representative of society today. Diverse.

Curvy U.S. model Ashley Graham recently made headlines for being named Sports Illustrated magazine’s rookie of 2016. I guess this is kind of like Graham receiving the Sports Illustrated newbie crown - a small step for her, a giant leap for full-figured beauty.

Now, the Swimwear Issue made famous by the likes of Tyra Banks, Candice Swanepoel and Chrissy Teigen (or, horny teens everywhere) has the world talking once more. Launching their #SwimSexy campaign, SI’s Swimwear Issue features a 56-year-old model in the form of Nicola Griffin, plus few full-figures beauties like Philomena Kwao.

The first Swimwear Issue came out in 1964, so I’d say it’s about time we change the concept of what a "bikini body" really is.
