An adorable puppy lent a helping paw in this man's romantic proposal. Katie Fraser, 27, and Amandeep Sandhu, 29, have been together for nine and a half years, and Amandeep decided to pop the question with the help of a new puppy, who has now joined their picture-perfect family.
Coming home after having breakfast, Katie was shocked to see her electrician partner get down on one knee, joined by Cocoa, a 10-week-old Golden Mountain Doodle.

The couple, both from Montreal, Canada, have wanted to tie the knot for some time but have always had other priorities to focus on, like buying their own home. The proposal's planning began three months ago, with Amandeep buying the ring at the beginning of May while later sneaking out to identify the perfect pup, which he did in early July.
Katie, a particular education technician, said: "It's honestly like a fairytale thing for me. It was a dream come true! "We've been talking about getting a dog for a while since we moved into our first home together. I grew up having dogs, so I've always loved them. I was actually bugging Amandeep that day to go visit a dog adoption event together. Little did I know, he had Cocoa waiting for me at home."

"I've been bugging him for an engagement forever! But our priorities were to buy our own place first, not to be spending on a wedding. Now that we've been living together for almost a year and dating for nine and a half years, the timing was perfect. "So many strangers have congratulated us - we really feel all the love right now! We hope that our love inspires others."
