How to slay the '70s trend with an A-line skirt

Oh the love I have for my A-line denim button-up skirt.

It was the first thing I purchased when I arrived in London. I guess it was Alexa Chung’s effortless styling of the skirt that kept popping up on my Pinterest timeline over and over again that got me lusting for my own.

The button-front A-line skirt has got to be my favourite pick from the seventies trend.

Just like a pair of well-fitted jeans, the denim skirt is an item of clothing that can be adapted to any sort of look and feel.

Play it casual in a pair of sneakers and a simple white tee, accentuate your waistline by adding a belt or dress things up with a pair of heels and a cute blouse.

Try a lighter wash of denim for the upcoming summer months or if you're based in the Northern hemisphere, opt for a midi button-up skirt teamed with a chunky knit as seen here.

There’s pretty much no reason not to own a button-up skirt this season.
