We asked our Facebook followers if natural hair dyes really work. Here is what they had to say:
Gaelen De Klerk: I use Herbatint which you can get from most health/organic shops or online. I use auburn and this brand doesn’t fade as much or quickly as the other famous brands do.
Melanie: I tried coffee and I've tried beetroot. Coffee didn't work but the beetroot did. It dyed my hair, my towels, and my carpets.
Kenalemang: I use Inecto on my natural afro hair and it’s always the best. No hairline issue. I guess it depends on your hair texture and the colour you choose. I always use plum (maroonish) and black to dye my hair.
Kimmie: Henna for greys is perfect!
Starrene: @Kimmie I agree 100%
Leticia: I've used henna before (which I assume would fall under natural dye) and although it doesn't drastically change the colour (especially for dark hair), it does give a lovely sheen of the chosen colour and I believe it's good for your hair too as opposed to chemical dyes.
