According to Channel24, the SABC wants to cancel popular soapie High Rollers within the next 30 days.
This is despite SABC head Hlaudi Motsoeneng previously saying the SABC wants more job security for those in the TV industry, and that the SABC will increase SABC television content to 90% local, starting with 80% local content on SABC3.
This also isn’t the first scandal the SABC has been involved in. Remember when they nearly lost 7de Laan due to contract disputes?

One user said that they hope eTV will snap the show up if it does get cancelled
If it's true that @SABC3 has cancelled High Rollers then I hope @etv would snatch it up. It's one of the very best local shows.

However, the show’s offical Twitter and Facebook accounts are telling fans not to panic just yet.
@AYANDAR_ keep watching... We're not going anywhere yet!

@Zingelwayo12 @MsMasasa We are waiting to find out if that decision is final or not. Producers engaging with SABC at the moment.

In response to the show potentially being cancelled, a viewer from Durban named Raeesa Khan has started a petition on Change.org to show the bosses over at the SABC that there is a lot of support for the show.
Sign the petition here.
Hundreds of users have signed the petition so far, and stars of the show and other celebrities have even shared the link to the petition on their social media accounts.
Terence Bridgett (who currently appears on High Rollers as Denton Grootboom), Gustav Gerdener (who is known for his roles on 7de Laan and Binnelanders), and Anel Alexander (who has starred on various SA soapies and appeared in movies such as Sink and Semi-Soet) have all expressed their support for the show.
