Looks from the Sunmet 2018

accreditation

The theme this year was afro-chic – African colours and textures came to play in the gorgeous ensembles the celebrities came wearing.

Here are the looks we spotted at the event.

Ayanda Thabethe in a Biji Lamaison creation inspired by the African sunset.

We continue to gush over celebrity romance, as Reason and Loot Love arrived together with a shared appreciation for the talented Siyamthanda Ndube, whose illustration inspired Loot’s outfit.

We love Bonnie Mbuli's blue ensemble.

Mzansi’ favourite couple Dineo Moeketsi and rapper Solo got up, dressed up, and showed all the way up. Dineo’s interpration of the theme was that she had to push herself to step out of her comfort zone, and design duo Quiteria & George definitely stuck to that brief.

Dash, whose name comes to mind when you think of the word ‘gentleman’ did not disappoint at the races.

As per norm, Rickyrick didn't disappoint.

Anatii kept it cool and edgy with African print tailored pants.

Local TV personality and our favourite blonde bombshell, Mbali Nkosi, in dramatic ruffles which are inspired by Tsonga traditional attire.

"It’s not only about bringing Africa to the world, but the world to Africa,” says Mumm Master of Celebrations Minnie Dlamini-Jones about her Gert Johan-Coetzee creation.
