The star-studded awards were attended by A-listers, including the likes of Boity Thulo, Nhlanhla Nciza, Busiswa, Basetsana Kumalo and Rami Chuene.
Speaking to Drum about the 10-year milestone, co-founder of the Feather awards and philanthropist Thami Dish said they hadn’t envisioned the awards ceremony growing this much.
“At first, it was just a party. We were just celebrating LGBTIQ people and people who empower the LGBTIQ+ community,” he said. Fast forward, five years later we’re having dialogues about matters that are important to the LGBTIQ community.”
