Presidential inauguration
On Saturday, the Loftus Versfeld Stadium was filled to capacity for the presidential inauguration of Cyril Ramaphosa. Excitement was in the air as many were treated to performances by Gigi Lamayne, Reason, Judith Sephuma, Brenda Mtambo, Kabomo, Tshwane Gospel Choir and the SANDF’s marching band. Bonang Matheba’s House of BNG supplied the bubbly. The stars also came dressed to impress in tribal print, as it was also Africa Day.

Africa Day celebrations at Bassline Fest
Meanwhile, others were at Constitution Hill, celebrating Africa Day at the Bassline Fest. This year’s hosts were Bontle Modiselle and Tino Chinyani. Bassline also celebrated their 25th anniversary. There were two stages where people could enjoy the talents of 12 of the continent’s biggest and freshest artists. Headlining this year’s Fest were two of Nigeria’s biggest stars, Asa and Mr Eazi, as well as our very own Buhlebendalo (from The Soil). There was also a live broadcast on SABC2 for those that couldn’t make it.

Chrissy Teigen goes to court
The model and cookbook author took to Instagram to announce that she’ll joining the ranks of Judge Judy, as she will be residing as a judge in a comedy court show titled, Chrissy's Court. Her caption read: "Small claims court just got a little bit smaller." This will be a reality TV show where binding rulings will be made over real small claims cases by Chrissy Teigen, while her mother Vilailuck “Pepper Thai” Teigen will be a bailiff
