Hands up if taking a picture or filming yourself while people stare on makes you nervous.

I can relate. This young woman, however, can’t.

New Yorker, Jessica George’s unfaltering confidence gained her a whole lot of admiration on social media after she was filmed by another commuter on the train she was boarding, posing candidly for a couple of selfies.

Phone propped on her seat and armed with enough confidence for both herself and and all of us who are shy, Jessica quickly became an internet sensation after the video of her snapping herself went viral getting over six million views and more than 200 000 likes and retweets.

See the video below.

After she saw herself trending, the beaut decided to share the results of her mini-shoot while thanking Twitter user Ben who posted the original video. With nearly 80 000 likes, it's clear twitter folk loved them too.

"I am overwhelmed by the kind words expressed by everyone and i just want to say THANK YOU to all let’s spread this positivity and continue to uplift one another... oh and [shoutout to] Ben for making my day.", she wrote.

Some people applauded her for her guts, while others simply admired all the confidence. Read some of the comments below.

"Oh my god!!!! SLAY THE HOUSE MAMA. Your confidence is an inspiration." wrote one user.

This person, like me, wants just a little bit of Jessica's ballsy ways, "Can you give an ounce of your self confidence, sis?" she wrote.

Do you think you'd be able to take pictures this confidently in a public space? Where was the most daring place you've had a selfie moment?
