Thick feather-like lashes applied to the top and bottom lash line are the easiest way to add drama to your look. Instead of individual lashes that can damage your natural lashes, try strip lashes that only need a gentler glue to install and can be removed and reused. These are the steps to get catwalk perfect lashes at home.
1. PREP
Remove any
access oil with an eye make-up remover. Apply eyeliner as close to the base of
the lashes as possible. This closes the gap between your natural lashes and the
falsies.
2. TRIM TO SIZE
Carefully lift the lash strip from the packaging and measure onto your eyelid. The size should be from the outer corner of the eyelid to about a quarter of the way before the inner eyelid to prevent the piercing sensation from a lash strip that’s too long.
3. APPLY THE GLUE
Dot a pea-size amount of glue on a flat surface. Then using a pair of tweezers, slowly sweep the edge of the strip through the glue. Leave the glue to dry a bit. And with the same tweezers, place the strip as close to the lash line as you can. Gently pat the falsies down to ensure it's fixed in place.
4. TRIM AND TAME
Trim the lashes so they don’t go past your eyelid. If you want your lashes to look natural, keep them at a realistic length. Apply a coat or two of regular mascara to give the lashes extra wow factor.
