Large breasts? 3 ways to downplay them

accreditation
We are never happy are we?  Those who have a small bust want them bigger and those who have a generous bust wish they were smaller.  Luckily, you can make your bust look smaller or bigger depending on the clothing you wear.

This week I’m focusing on tips to downsize your bust.  Look out for my article next week on how to upsize a small bust.

Here are my top 3 tips for downsizing your bust:

Tip no 1:  Get properly fitted for a bra.  I cannot emphasise this enough. Most women wear the wrong size bra.  Not only will the right size bra shave centimetres off your bust, but it will improve your entire look.  The right fit and size bra will ensure that your breasts are separated and lifted.  This also makes sure that you don’t lose any of that gorgeous waist, which creates a slimmer look.  Instead of just grabbing the size you think you are, go to a store that offers proper fitting and meet the new and slimmer you.

Tip no 2: Wear scoop and v-necklines.  Avoid wearing a high neckline because it will make you look like you have ONE BIG BOOB!  Wearing scoop or v-necklines doesn’t have to mean that you flash cleavage.  Even a slight v-neckline will work.  If a v-neckline is a little too low, then wear a cami underneath for a bit of coverage.  This will also work well to cut the expanse of your bust.

Tip no 3: Avoid trying to cover up your bust.  We often try and cover up the parts we don’t like, but this actually makes it look bigger. Rather than wearing big baggy tops to cover your bust, select clothing that gives you shape and fits your bust.  Yes I know, finding these items can seem like mission impossible. So, rather than resorting to wearing a bigger size to close at your bust, select a blouse or jacket that that fits your waist and wear it open, with a cami or top underneath it.  This draws the eye down the body rather than across, creating a slim-line look.
