American rapper Cardi B spent "the whole week in pain" to update the peacock tattoo on the right side of her waist, buttocks, and thigh.
According to the 27-year-old she decided to give the tattoo a fresh new look after 10 years.
The update was done by tattoo artist Jamie Schene, according to Cardi’s social media post.
Apart from brightening up the colours, Jamie also added more detail to Cardi’s original tattoo, as well as a more complex flower and a butterfly.
The star has remained tight-lipped about the meaning behind the tattoo.
Cardi has several other tattoos including her sister’s name, Hennessy, in large black cursive letters on the inside of her arm.
