- Kwaito artists Mshoza has died at the age of 37.
- SAMRO confirmed the news on Thursday in a tweet, saying: "It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of kwaito star Nomasonto Maswanganyi, affectionately known as Mshoza."
- Mshoza's manager Thanduxolo Jindela confirmed the news, saying: "The Kortes hitmaker succumbed peacefully in the early hours of this morning."
According to several online reports Kwaito artists Mshoza has died. She was 37.

SAMRO confirmed the news on Thursday in a tweet, saying: "Yet another loss to the music industry. It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of kwaito star Nomasonto Maswanganyi, affectionately known as Mshoza."
According to Sowetan Live, the artist died in Far East Rand Hospital on Thursday before 9:00. The cause of death has not been made public. In a statement Thanduxolo said that more details would "follow shortly."

The star, whose real name is Nomasonto Maswanganyi, started her career as a dancer in the group Chiskop in 1998.
She was discovered on Jam Alley by then presenter, Nimrod Nkosi on the show. Shortly after that, she was featured on Mzambiya and Steve Likwiliya's Jersy Number 10 EP and signed to Bull Dawgs as an artist, recording her firsts solo album Bull Dawgs First Lady in 2002.
The Kortes hitmaker performed across the world alongside Bongo Muffin, Brenda Fassie, Thembi Seete and Mzambiya.
Aside from her music career, Mshoza was well-known for speaking openly about undergoing many cosmetic procedures, lighting her skin and short-lived romances.
Mshoza leaves behind two kids, a daughter Pride Mnisi and son, Junior Mnisi.
Khanyi Mbau, a close friend of Mshoza, expressed her sadness on social media, following the news. "REST IN PEACE MY LOVE . I am tired 2020," she captioned a photo on Instagram.
According to Times Live the family will be releasing a statement shortly.
