'My king is in a lot of pain' - Shekhinah's brother suffers 'severe injuries' following alleged hit-and-run incident

South African musician Shekhinah's brother John Donnell suffered "severe injuries" after being involved in an alleged hit-and-run incident. 

"I'm so greatful he's alive an well he has multiple surgery's to undergo as extensive damage was done to his precious face, [sic]" Shekhinah wrote in an Instagram post. 

According to the Tides singer most of the family lives in South Africa and with John currently residing in the USA, he has been "blessed to have amazing friends who have taken up the role of family".

"Being far away from him is really torture but my mom is on her way to him, [sic]" she said in an Instagram post.

She went on to say: "...My king is in a lot of pain and confusion right now but I'm confident God has a plan for him."  

A Go Fund Me as been created to raise funds for John's medical bills, and at the time of publishing, $4,857 (R71 406,16) had been raised of the $7,000 (R102 911,90) goal.

Slikour, LootLove, DJ Zinhle and Kyle Deutsch are among the celebrities who have reached out to Shekhinah to offer their support.
