Offset was detained on Saturday night in Beverly Hills while driving through a campaign rally for Donald Trump.
Cardi B did not appear to be in the car with her husband at the time. Cardi B's cousin, Marcelo Almanzar, was arrested, and Offest was detailed following the incident.
In a statement, the Beverly Hills Police Department said they arrested, Marcelo Almanzar, on two charges of carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm in public. His bail was set for $35 000 (R57 0133) reports TMZ.
The statement from the police department notes Cardi's cousin "pointed a weapon from a vehicle" at one of the passersby. They did not press charges, but police did intervene.

Offset was recording the altercation between the Trump supporter and Cardi's cousin, sharing it on Instagram Live. After refusing to get out of the vehicle, he was pulled from the car and detained.
During the video, you can hear the rapper say he won't get out because the police have guns.
"That's my choice," one officer said in the video, to which he replied: "I'm not going to move my hands from the steering wheel," before more officers got involved.
He was later released from custody.
"Artist and Philanthropist Offset was detained by the Beverly Hills Police Department following an attack by aggressive Trump supporters," a rep for the Migos rapper told People. "He was released shortly thereafter."
The statement continued: "Offset thanks his fans for their support and wishes everyone peace and safety during these trying times. He encourages everyone to get out and vote because nothing changes if nothing changes."
