James Cameron has given an update on the progress of the long-awaited Avatar sequels.

In July Disney announced that they are pushing back the Avatar sequel to 2022, with the rest of the films staggered to be released in 2024, 2026 and 2028.

During a video chat with Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Titanic director revealed that he has finished filming Avatar 2 and that Avatar 3 is 95 percent complete.

"So where we are right now, I'm down in New Zealand shooting, we're shooting the remainder of the live-action. We've got about 10% left to go. We're 100% complete on Avatar 2, and we're sort of 95% complete with Avatar 3," said James.
