The former soccer star has a new documentary titled Beckham. In it, the singer opened up about David's alleged infidelity. "It was the hardest period for us because it felt like the world was against us. Here's the thing - we were against each other, if I'm completely honest." The couple, who tied the knot in 1999, did not share details about what happened during the time of the alleged affair.

"You know, up until Madrid, sometimes it felt like us against everybody else. But we were together, we were connected, we had each other," the singer-turned-fashion designer shared. "But when we were in Spain, it didn't really feel like we had each other either. And that's sad." Victoria, also known as Posh Spice, added, "I can't even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me."

Elsewhere in the interview, Victoria addressed the press attention that she and her family received after moving to Spain to join her husband, who was playing for Real Madrid at the time.

"It was a nightmare... the press were there in cars and everywhere we went, we were followed," she stated. "It was an absolute circus - it's really entertaining when the circus comes to town, right? Unless you're in it."

Victoria was then asked whether she resented her husband at the time, to which she responded, "If I'm being totally honest, yes, I did. It was probably, if I'm being honest, the most unhappy I have ever been in my entire life."

David, 48, also addressed the allegations in the documentary, stating, "There was some horrible stories which were difficult to deal with. It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage," he continued. "I think we both felt at the time that we were not losing each other but drowning."

Victoria also opened up about a time when David almost missed the birth of one of their children. David had a Pepsi shoot scheduled that featured Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé. In the documentary, the 49-year-old mentions that when she was pregnant with their son Cruz, who's now 18 years old, the doctors told her that she needed to schedule a C-section, but at the time, David communicated that he had a prior commitment.

"What do you mean a shoot? I was like, 'Seriously, I'm about to burst. I'm on bed rest! Are you kidding me? You've got a damn photo shoot with Jennifer Lopez, who is gorgeous and not about to have a baby?" Victoria recalled asking the retired soccer star, 48.

Although David was able to change the date of the shoot, Victoria was still upset when she saw photos from the set. "So I had my C-section, and I remember lying there, don't feel at my most gorgeous, let's just say. And I remember someone showing me the front page of the newspaper, which was a gorgeous picture of David between Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé, and the headline was, 'What would Posh say?' Let me tell you what Posh would say," she told the camera. "Posh was pissed off!"

The couple and their four children, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, attended the documentary's premiere on Tuesday. Beckham was released on Netflix on Wednesday.
