Anything can happen to your wedding gown on your special day, so the logical thing would be to be extra vigilant, which means you might not fully enjoy yourself. Another option would be to have extra dresses ready in case you need to change. Geordie Shore cast member Marnie Simpson just revealed she had seven dresses on standby on her wedding day in March last year. She also shared that she didn't have bridesmaids, as getting their dresses would just be added stress.

The reality star married Casey Johnson in March last year in a rustic barn-themed ceremony. The bride wore a Galisa Grace cut-out bodice wedding gown as she walked down the aisle and held her stepfather Eric's arm. Her fiancé at the time, Casey, wore a three-piece grey suit. "I saw Casey and friends and family, and I felt at ease," the bride told OK Magazine. Casey said seeing her walk down the aisle was a feeling he would never forget.

"Marnie walking down the aisle is a once-in-a-lifetime experience - I'll never forget that feeling. I was focused on her; it felt like no one else was there. It was incredible," Casey added. The couple had an intimate wedding that included 80 guests without a bridal party but included both their children and Marnie's Geordie Shore co-stars Charlotte, Holly Hagan, Nathan Henry and Sophie Kasaei. The bride shared that she had seven dresses just in case of any spillages or mistakes, but she ended up only wearing three of the seven.

She also added that out of the three dresses she wore, her favourite was the second dress which was a ruffled number paired with beaded gloves. "It was very me, but it's my type of fashion that no one really sees because it was quite vintage. My family always joke that I should have been born in the 20s because I love everything about that era. That dress reminded me of that. I bought it before we even had a date, and I didn't think I would get married in it, but I just knew I wanted it involved in my wedding one day. At the time that I bought it, I couldn't even fit in it. I was a lot bigger. I couldn't even get it past my bum."

Marnie shared that she planned her wedding day in three months, and that is the reason she didn't have any bridesmaids was because she didn't have time to organise dresses. "It was a lot of added stress, and I didn't have the time to physically source them, make sure everyone was comfortable, and get them fitted. I didn't actually feel any different not having any bridesmaids. I thought everyone was really relaxed and looked beautiful. I'm happy with my decision." After cutting the cake, the bride changed into her third dress from House of CB, and the party began Geordie Shore style with Jordan Book performing.
