Wedding bells are ringing for 'New Girl' actor Zooey Deschanel as she has recently announced that she is engaged to her long-term boyfriend, 'Property Brothers' co-host Jonathan Scott. The couple met back in 2019 after featuring on James Corden's popular YouTube show 'Carpool Karaoke'. This month, they celebrated four years of their relationship before taking things to the next level with an engagement.

The 43-year-old took to Instagram to share an image of herself and her fiancé, captioning it, "Forever starts now." The couple went on a family vacation to Scotland, where Jonathan proposed on Sunday. Zooey's two children from a previous relationship, Elsie and Charlie, played a special role. The image that the actor shared is of the couple posing in front of Scottish scenery at the foot of a stone castle, smiling.

Zooey is seen holding up her hand showing, off her unique floral ring that has clear, pink and purple stones in a flower pattern. According to People, proposing in Scotland is special to Jonathan as he has always embraced his heritage. His brother Drew also celebrated his heritage when he tied the knot in 2018, as both brothers wore kilts at the ceremony.
