Sex toy review: Find your G-spot

If diamonds are a girl's best friend then sex toys are her best lover.

Penile penetration may not always hit the spot and can leave you feeling sexually unfulfilled. To avoid the disappointment you can take matters into your own hands with the Yuhi G-spot stimulator.

What it is?

Yuhi is a waterproof, rechargeable G-spot stimulator from Ammo. What makes a G-spot vibe different to other toys is that it has a curve or bump at the top of the shaft that makes it easy to press against your G-spot, without twisting your wrist into a cramp.

G-spot?
If you’re lying on your back, your G-spot is located on the upper wall of your vagina – pop two fingers in and curl them up and you should find a patch of roughness. It’s pretty tricky and/or tiring to reach and keep rubbing, and a G-spot vibe or dildo makes the job that much easier.

Yuhi’s curve starts with a bend at the handle end of the toy, with a sharper curve and a well-articulated tip at the pleasure end that pushes against your G-spot without any fuss on your part.

How you use it
G-spot toys make it easy for women to explore what is, let’s face it, tricky territory to reach in solo play. How you use your G-spot toy will depend on what works for you – maybe pushing in a pulse rhythm against it, maybe sliding the toy in and out over the spot, maybe working in a circular rhythm, maybe scooping movements along the length of your vagina … what I enjoy about Yuhi is that its fairly uncomplicated, flexible shaft shape makes any of these movements possible.

How it works
Yuhi has two motors – one at each end of the toy. There are three control buttons: an ‘up’ button that controls the tip motor, a ‘down’ button that controls the shaft motor and an on/off button. You choose which motor you want and off you go. Each motor offers three standard vibe settings, with increasing intensity, and seven pulsing ones.

What I liked about it
As I mentioned, I loved that Yuhi is easy to play with, which means it’s bound to find anyone’s G-groove. I like that it has a decent shaft length for penetrative play and that it’s silicone body means it’s flexible enough to manipulate.

The hard ABS plastic ‘handle’ area is a comfortable, intuitive grip with the controls in easy reach.
I also LOVED the little bumps along the middle of the shaft. It made for a brilliant surprise ‘hello’ on my clit. Because there was a lot of sliding action and manipulation, I used quite a bit of lube with this one.

But what I liked the most about this toy is value for money. Yuhi offers top-quality materials and great design at a competitive price to other toys in its range.

There’s nothing wild or weird about the Yuhi, which I find is a plus for most tastes. I loved the packaging and I LOVE the USB recharger. I ended up just plugging it into my phone’s charger port. Which brings me to another top point – Yuhi doesn’t take a million years to charge and the vibe is nice and quiet.

What I didn’t like
Well the motor action is by far the most niggly point for me. The separate motors can’t be operated them simultaneously and although the hard ABS handle area (where the second motor sits) is supposed to be for buzzing your clit and vulva, I found that it was a bit of an either/or situation between clit and G-spot as my G-spot sits pretty low.

As for the quality of the vibe, this is an entirely individual issue. I found the main motor – the one in the actual tip – too tinny and delicate. If you have a sensitive G-spot however, this is unlikely to be a problem for you. I opted for the base motor in the handle as it offers a nice, low grumble that carries well through the shaft.

You might also find that the flexibility of the shaft means you don’t get enough of a hard push against your G-spot. For me this was balanced by the fact that I could wiggle and move and slide and push Yuhi in all kinds of delightful ways.

Although I think the controls are perfectly placed to make changes mid-happy-time, because they’re simply a flush press-pad they’re difficult to find by touch alone.

Is it the toy for you?
If you’d like an intro G-spot toy with enough straight-forward penetrative action to keep you all-round happy, that won’t shock your clit or G-spot into submission, you’ll like the Yuhi.
