Artistes Chanel and Michaela Gardner will perform live at Taste Bistro in Storms River Village on November 24, where they will showcase familiar instrumental sounds with a unique combination of the guitar and violin.

The show, titled “No Strings Attached”, promises the perfect blend of classical meets alternative, of old and new.

Chanel is a self-taught musician and songwriter with over 15 years’ experience in performing, managing bands, and mentoring upcoming artists. Michaela, better known as Mika, is a passionate, classically-trained musician with over 12 years’ experience in teaching music, and has performed in orchestras around the world.

Chanel and Mika moved to Storms River Village in Tsitsikamma earlier this year, and first focused on building a tiny house and establishing a food garden.

The two women are passionate about off-grid living, sustainability, and growing their own food.

Music has been a constant thread in the tapestry of this creative duo.

They have been teaching music in the area, but this will be their first gig in the village as they have been tied up for months in setting up their off-grid establishment.

They use personalised strategies to teach young and old, and are passionate about the benefits of early exposure to music.

The “No Strings Attached” show will start at 18:00.

There is no cost; however, guests must be seated for a meal to enjoy the performance at Taste Bistro.

For more information contact Taste Bistro at 081 099 9957.
