A gospel artist from Ncise Administrative Area in Mthatha, Maxhoba Jamani, confirmed that he will launch his first album at All Saints Hall in Mthatha at the end of June 2024.
The title of the album is nazo izixhobo, and it consists of 13 tracks.
“I am still new in the industry. I released my single track in 2020 which was titled lizalise, followed by the second one in 2022 titled sendisiza. I then made a full album at the end of 2022 which I released in the beginning of this month,” said Jamani.
According to Jamani, he used to be a backing vocalist for Linda Mini who is also a gospel artist. He said that he was then advised by Mini to start his own journey in music.
He confirmed that after he took the decision to follow his heart, he recorded his album at Sola Recording and his producer was Soso Mdingi.
“What led me to sing this type of music is that I grew up in a family that loves God. I am also a Christian; that is why I have chosen this way. I used to be a backing vocalist to someone who sings Gospel music because he also realised that I love Gospel so much.”
