We need to strive for the day when women, just like men, can finally be viewed as adults with full agency and the ability to decide how they want to live without any societal pressures to be anything other than who they are, writes Nthabi Nhlapo.

Some connotations and assumptions go hand in hand with being a 40-year-old woman who is unmarried and has no children.

I should know because I am one such woman.
