So picture this:
You're on a tropical island sitting at the local on-the-beach bar, sipping on a
fruity cocktail.
The sun is shining down your back, and the slight breeze has the heady smell of
ocean, the scent of exotic flowers and the allure of decadent and juicy fruit
all in one.
Sounds like paradise, don't you think?
Unfortunately, we can't get this in real life (well, unless you can afford it,
obviously). However, we can get it in a perfume bottle.
And that is exactly what Britney Spears' Island Fantasy embodies.
I've always been a fan of her perfume range, and while the original Fantasy and
Radiance will always be my favourite, Island Fantasy isn't a bad offering.
The fragrance is a light, fruity and deliciously floral offering that combines
notes of citrus fruits and red berries, with jasmine, freesia and violet. I
also picked up on a prominent watermelon scent - an aroma that I ordinarily wouldn't
wear - which I found decidedly appealing.
My only problem with it is that the scent definitely doesn't last whole day and
wears off only after two - three hours for the most.
But, if you can look past that, and if you're looking for a summery scent that
carries a tropical island in a bottle, I'd certainly recommend Island
Fantasy.
