YOU WILL NEED
- two 8mm x 44mm x 3m pine cover strips
- ruler
- 16mm chipboard screws
- screwdriver
- jigsaw
- Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR Clear Matt
- Woodoc Colours in Full Moon
- paintbrush
- 6 hanging plant pots
- plants
- soil
How to
1Cut the cover strips in the following lengths with a jigsaw, or get them cut to size at your local timber merchant:
- two 1m lengths
- four 700mm lengths
- four 300mm lengths
2 Arrange the cover strips in a trellis design, creating diamond shapes in-between the strips. Use a ruler to make sure the strips that go in the same direction are parallel to one another.
3 Screw the strips together where they intersect. At the back, use two screws where some of the pieces cross to prevent your trellis from folding in on itself.
4 Use a jigsaw to cut the edges off the cover strips and neaten them up.
5 Mix a bit of the Woodoc Colours Full Moon with about 100ml of Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR Clear Matt. Pour a bit of clear Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR Matt in a separate container.
6 Use a paintbrush to paint half of the trellis with the white mixture, mixing it with the clear Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR Matt as you get to the middle. Use only the clear mixture on the other side, creating an ombre effect. Let it dry and repeat.
7 Loosen a few of the screws slightly to make space to hang the pots. Hang the trellis on your wall then hook the pots onto the screws.
