Artist Vicky Zigras lives in a studio apartment just a short walk from the Sea Point promenade in Cape Town.

“My sister Nikki, an interior designer, suggested that we do this by building a ‘wall’ of cabinetry which would create a display area for all my plants and ornaments and allow me to store, and conceal, more utilitarian items behind the cupboard doors along the bottom. And all this without taking up a lot of floor space!
