With load-shedding seemingly part and parcel of our lives for the foreseeable future, most of us have acquired a plethora of lamps and other essential devices that need to be recharged when the electricity comes back on. Keeping track of – and storing – all the different charging cables for each lamp or device has added to our load-shedding woes. Make your life easier by keeping everything in one place and neatly stored in handy containers.

1. Clear a shelf in a linen or kitchen cupboard to dedicate as a charging station. Install a multiplug at the back of the shelf.
