Tired of playing it safe with your bathroom décor? Make this quick-and-easy caddy – and add a striking splash of colour with Woodoc Colours.

You will need

  • 3 x wooden crates
  • 2 x pine planks (22mm x 44mm x 1.8m)
  • Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR Clear Matt
  • Woodoc Colours Brights (Green)
  • jigsaw
  • g-clamps
  • carpenter’s square
  • screwdriver
  • 4 x 40mm chipboard screws
  • paint brush

Here's how...

1 Measure and mark halfway on the pine planks.

2 Using the g-clamps, secure the planks on your work surface and saw each one in two with the jigsaw on the marks you made in step 1.

3 Position the four planks next to each other, making sure they are even at the bottom.

4 Place the wooden crates on the planks in the position you would like them to be in. Measure and mark this position across all four planks. Use a carpenter's square to guide you.

5 Remove two of the planks and spread the remaining two so that they’re about 3cm in from the edges of the box. Position the boxes on the marks you made in step 4 and attach with screws.

6 Attach the remaining two legs in the same way on the opposite sides of the boxes.

7 Mix Woodoc Colours Brights (Green) with about 200ml Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR.

8 Paint the caddy inside and out with three coats of the Woodoc mixture, letting it dry between coats and sanding lightly after the first and second coats.
