Wicus writes: “reclaim” as in “take back”

We launched the first Rookie Stylist competition, in partnership with Mr Price Home, in 2019 and now, four years later, the creativity of Home readers still blows my mind. The entries were anything but the handiwork of ‘rookies’. It gives me such joy. 

This time round, we added a new twist: the winner not only wears the Rookie Stylist crown but their space is also featured on the cover. And here it is: Janet Meintjes of Rheenendal outside Knysna certainly deserves this accolade.

In search of a ‘cover-worthy’ pic, we sent our creative editor Marian van Wyk and a photographer to the finalists’ homes.
