Treat family and friends to honey mustard chicken skewers and crunchy Asian slaw – made that much better with B-well’s range of vegan products.

It's time to unlock the full potential of your summer entertaining and B-well is ready to enhance every moment with its versatile and delectable range of products.

Try these recipes to kickstart your culinary adventures! Golden honey mustard glazed chicken skewers are the quintessential appetiser. Marrying the richness of B-well Canola & Olive Oil and B-well mayonnaises with the tantalising flavours of paprika, garlic powder and a touch of sweetness, these skewers embody the essence of summer dining.

What’s more, if you’ve got a vegan friend coming to your party, you can easily use cubes of firm tofu instead of chicken – and B-well’s mayonnaises are all plant-based and free of eggs and dairy! Just remember to swap out honey for maple syrup in the marinade.

The crunchy salad with lemon vinaigrette serves as the perfect sidekick to the skewers, balancing the sweetness and richness of the chicken skewers with its zesty and refreshing punch of citrus.

Golden Honey Mustard Glazed Chicken Skewers

Top tip: Soak the wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before cooking to prevent them from catching alight.

1 kg boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes (use tofu for vegan option)

1 tbsp B-well Canola & Olive Oil Blend

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

Marinade and basting sauce

150 g B-well Thick & Creamy Mayonnaise

150 g B-well Original Tangy Mayonnaise

2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce

2 tbsp honey (use maple syrup for vegan option)

  • In a large bowl, combine the cubed chicken breasts or tofu, oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Toss to evenly coat.
  • Working with one skewer at a time, thread 4–5 chicken or tofu cubes onto each.
  • In a small bowl, combine the marinade ingredients and stir well.
  • Pour half of the marinade into a separate bowl and set aside to use after the skewers have been cooked. Brush the rest of the sauce evenly over the chicken or tofu.
  • Braai and baste the skewers continuously until the chicken is fully cooked or the tofu has crisped up nicely on the outside.
  • Transfer the skewers to a plate and drizzle or brush with the reserved marinade.

¼ cup fresh lemon juice1tsp salt (or to taste)

¼ tsp fresh cracked pepper (or to taste)

  • To make the vinaigrette, place all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk or blend vigorously until fully combined. Taste and, if needed, adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper.
