1. Heat the oil in a heavy-bottomed pan and fry the boerewors slowly until golden-brown but not cooked through.
2. Remove the boerewors from the pan, but keep the rendered fat and fry the cabbage wedges in it until the cut sides are golden-brown. Add more oil as needed.
