Medusoid Euphorbias boast some of the most intriguing varieties in the Euphorbia genus, with striking snake-like stems that resemble the hair of Medusa, the sea nymph from Greek mythology, hence the name. 

Growing tips Indigenous to South Africa, these plants thrive in a wide range of habitats. Grow them in well-drained soil in a spot that receives at least six hours of direct sunlight. They will enjoy a bit of afternoon shade in hotter climates as extreme heat may stress the plants. Feed them monthly during spring and summer with a water-soluble fertiliser.
