General overview: Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

2017 is about finding your groove. Have you been overworking, overindulging or letting inertia get the upper hand?

Well, this year is all about making those conscious choices and decisions in order to reorganise things so they work better for you. This can be anything from letting go of bad habits to emotional patterns that are inhibiting you in some way.

It is about integrating the mind, body, emotions and spirit so that they can flow together, thereby helping you to create a healthy balance between diet, exercise, work and play. This may feel like hard work in the beginning, but once you create a structured rhythm, you will take to it like a duck to water.

Love and relationships:

The key focus for 2017 is to find balance. If you have been over-adapting, over-pleasing or overcompensating in any way, you will no doubt, start feeling the strain of not having enough time and energy to focus on your own personal goals and needs, let alone enough time and attention for anyone else.

Relationships are about giving and receiving and if this flow is out, this is an important area to reorganise. Bring back that feeling of passion into your daily rhythm. This can be through starting a new exercise routine, finding a moment to meditate, or just finding the time within your busy schedule to put your own goals and personal needs into the picture.

The hard work you do here in the first half of the year will start to pay off later as you start feeling fitter, looking better and gaining more confidence.

Venus, the planet of love, goes into retrograde from early March until mid April which can be a significant turning point on some level. An old flame or someone from the past may reappear on the scene or you could find yourself feeling the need to go back to something or reassess a few matters.

The bottom line is that you need to do the work to see the changes, so quit waiting for the right moment and step into action or you might miss out.

Jupiter moves into the area of relationships from mid October 2017 and this can be a time where you either meet someone special or find a way to bring the spark back into your existing relationship.

Work and money:

The focal point for 2017 is partnership and joint investment. It is also a good time to reorganise your accounts and to make sure you are not getting the short straw in a business deal.

This year would be a good idea to go back to the books in order to brush up your knowledge, boost your confidence and expand your choices and possibilities in relation to work experiences.

With Jupiter sitting in the area of work for most of 2017, you will be working hard, so make sure that you’re getting paid for all the time and effort you put in. There may be some movement between March and April where money owed may come your way or the past could catch up to you if you owe others money.

This could be the year where you get pushed to shift from eternal student, to taking up the role as a teacher of sorts. This takes courage and confidence, but you just need to believe in yourself and value yourself more.

Taurus quote for the year: “When the drum beat changes the dance changes...”
