You will need
- pine cover strip (8mm x 44mm x 1.8m)
- jigsaw
- sandpaper
- Woodoc Water-Borne FLOORClearMatt
- Woodoc Colours Ebony
- 4 mixing jars
- paintbrushes
- ribbon
- staple gun
How to...
1 Measure and mark seven 250mm intervals on the cover strip or download our template (HERE) and trace. If you measure it, draw rounded corners.
2 Use a jigsaw to cut out the pieces you marked in step 1 and sand the edges smooth.
3 Pour about 50ml of Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR into each of the mixing jars. Now add the Woodoc Colours Ebony to each jar, adding a little lessevery time. Mix well.
4 Use the four mixtures to paint two coats on four pieces of cover strip, on both sides. Let it dry between coats. Paint two coats on all sides on the remaining three pieces with Woodoc Water-Borne Clear. Let it dry between coats.
5 Position the strips next to each other, from dark to light, with about 3mm between them. Attach them with two lengths of ribbon and a staple gun.
Note: Woodoc recommends that three coats of sealer are always applied. If two tinted coats were applied, apply a final clear coat.
