Measure up and add a fun element to the bedroom with Woodoc.

You will need

  • 1.75m x 12mm x 144mm pine timber
  • measuring tape
  • carpenter’s square
  • pencil
  • masking tape
  • Woodoc Waterborne FLOOR Clear Matt
  • Woodoc Colours in Full Moon and Brights (Pink)
  • paintbrushes
  • mixing containers
  • stirring spatulas
  • black vinyl lining tape
  • black vinyl numbers

Heres how

1 Measure and mark 25cm intervals on the timber.

2 Mask on the outside of every second section.

Decant about 100ml of the Woodoc Waterborne FLOOR Clear Matt into the two mixing containers. Add the Woodoc Colours to the two containers respectively and stir well.

Apply the pink mixture to the masked areas. Let it dry, then remove the masking tape.

Measure, mark and mask 5cm from one long edge of the timber.

Apply two coats of the Full Moon mixture to the area you masked in step 5. Remove the tape when the sealer has dried.

Seal the ruler with two coats of Woodoc Waterborne FLOOR Clear Matt on all sides. Let the sealer dry between coats.

Measure and mark 5cm intervals on the white edge. Add 4cm of vinyl tape on each mark. Where the pink and natural blocks meet, add a 6cm vinyl line.

Add your vinyl numbers every 25cm (where the pink and natural blocks meet). Remember that you will install your ruler 25cm from the ground, so the first number will be 50cm, then 75cm and so on all the way to the top.
