Add a fun touch to your décor with Woodoc Colours

By Shelly Bergh | Photographs ER Lombard

YOU WILL NEED

* turned sofa legs in various shapes and sizes

* drill with 19mm and 35mm drill bits

* screwdriver

* screw

* Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR Clear Matt

* Woodoc Colours Brights (Yellow)

* mixing container

* stirring spatula

* masking tape

* paintbrushes

1. We attached a flat wooden leg to the top of another leg with a screw to create a candleholder for a pillar candle. We then drilled holes in two of the other legs to fit a regular candle and a votive candle. It’s up to you to decide on the shape of your candleholders.

2. Decant about 100ml of the Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR Clear Matt into the mixing container. Add the Woodoc Colours Brights (Yellow) and stir well.

3. Mask the areas you do not want to colour and apply two coats of the mixture you made in step 2 to the unmasked areas. Let the sealer dry completely between coats.

4. Once the second coat has dried, remove the masking tape.

5. Seal the unpainted parts of your candleholders with two coats of Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR Clear Matt.

6. Add candles and you’re good to go!
