You will need

  • large wooden beads
  • Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR Clear Matt
  • Woodoc Colours in Full Moon, Inky Blue, Clifton Grey and Brights (Purple)
  • 3 x mixing containers
  • stirring spatulas
  • wire
  • hot glue

1. Decant about 75ml of the Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR Clear Matt into each of the three containers. Add Woodoc Colours Full Moon to each container and then add the Purple, Inky Blue and Clifton Grey to each container respectively. Stir well.

2. Cut pieces of wire about 8cm long. Thread the wire pieces through the beads (the number of beads you use will depend on how big you want your trivet), creating an S-hook. Dip the beads halfway into the mixtures you made in step 1 and hang them up to dry.

3. Once all the beads have dried, thread them onto a piece of wire to create a spiral (the length of the wire will depend on how many beads you have used).

4. Use the hot glue to secure the spiral shape in place.

5. Seal the trivet with two more coats of Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR Clear Matt. Let the first coat dry before applying the second coat.
