Brighten up a playroom with this easy project and Woodoc Colours!

You will need

* balsa wood

* template or create your own shapes

* carbon paper

* pen

* craft knife

* steel ruler

* jigsaw

* sandpaper

* Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR Clear Matt

* Woodoc Colours Full Moon and Brights (Red and Blue)

* 3 mixing containers

* flat stirring spatulas

* paintbrushes

* dowel stick (± 25cm)

* craft wire

* ribbon

1. Trace the shapes onto the balsa wood with the carbon paper.

2. Use the craft knife and steel ruler to cut the wood into smaller, more manageable sizes around the shapes.

3. Use the jigsaw and craft knife to cut the shapes out. The jigsaw works better for curved edges and the craft knife is good for straight edges.

4. Sand the edges smooth.

5. Decant about 75ml of Woodoc Water-Borne FLOOR Clear Matt into each of the three containers. Add the Woodoc Colours to the containers respectively and stir well.

6. Randomly seal the shapes and dowel stick with 3 coats in the various colours. Let the sealer dry between coats and sand lightly after the first and second coats have dried. Do not sand again after the third coat has dried.

7. Position the shapes in the design you want and attach them with craft wire (the balsa wood is so soft that you can simply poke a hole with the wire).

8. Tie a ribbon to the dowel and hang your mobile decoration!
